Dinosaur Workshop at Vita et Pax Preparatory School
On Thursday, 13th February, Vita et Pax Preparatory School in Enfield, North London, had the incredible opportunity to host a thrilling Dinosaur Workshop that captivated the imaginations of our students. The event, designed to bring the prehistoric world to life, was a perfect blend of education and excitement, as the children got up close with animatronic dinosaurs and embarked on a hands-on fossil dig!
The day began with an interactive session led by a knowledgeable expert handler, who introduced the children to a variety of life-like, animatronic dinosaurs. Among the dinosaurs were a Parasaurolophus, Triceratops, and more, each moving and making realistic sounds, which made the experience even more exciting. As the handler shared fascinating facts about each dinosaur’s family, diet, and habitat, the children’s curiosity and enthusiasm grew. They were thrilled to learn how these creatures lived millions of years ago, their unique features, and their place in the prehistoric world.
After the thrilling dino introductions, the children got to become palaeontologists themselves. The workshop set up large sandboxes filled with hidden fossils, where the students eagerly dug and uncovered remnants of ancient creatures. Armed with shovels and brushes, they worked together to unearth fossils, learning about the different eras and environments where these dinosaurs once roamed. Each discovery was an exciting moment, and the children couldn’t wait to share what they had uncovered, all while gaining knowledge about the dinosaurs’ diets, habitats, and fascinating facts.
Our expert was always on hand, answering the children’s many questions and guiding them through each step of the excavation process. This hands-on experience not only allowed the students to learn about dinosaurs in an engaging way but also helped develop their teamwork, problem-solving skills, and curiosity about the natural world.
At Vita et Pax Preparatory School, we are committed to providing unique learning opportunities that spark our students’ imaginations and foster a love of discovery. This dinosaur workshop was an unforgettable experience that will stay with our students for years to come. Thank you to the organisers and experts who made it such a memorable day. We look forward to more exciting events like this in the future!
